Osam svakodnevnih proizvoda, isti artikal u svakom lancu, izabran jednom i nepromenjen. Cena je najniža aktuelna cena koju lanac objavljuje. Korpa je namerno mala — poredimo samo artikle koje drži više lanaca. Nema svežeg voća, povrća i mesa jer ih lanci ne objavljuju, ni jaja, mleka i šećera: prodaju se uglavnom pod robnim markama trgovaca, pa nema istog artikla za poređenje. Iz istog razloga lanci koji prodaju gotovo isključivo sopstvene marke ne ulaze u poređenje.
